Where to Get Married in South of France

There are plenty of beautiful wedding places to opt for in the south of France. There are luxurious hotels that come with a range of services and facilities that make your wedding day all the more enjoyable and comfortable. Also, if your guests are planning to stay over for your wedding, a good hotel is just the right place for your wedding in South of France.

And then there are chateaus spread all across the region that make just the most amazing wedding venues in the south of France. The cozy chateaus with stunning landscapes offer quite a variety of spots for the most romantic photoshoot ever. From the photography point of view, vineyards, meadows and forests around the chateaus in southern France add a lot of charisma to your wedding photographs.

Moving on, you can also do your destination wedding South of France in a spectacular villa. There are quite a few with top-notch amenities and great hospitality in the different cities in southern France.

When deciding on a venue, you’re likely to find yourself torn between villas, mansions, hotels and chateaus in southern France. My suggestion is to contemplate the following factors before deciding on a venue:

Personal preference

We all have a personal preference regarding everything, including clothes, places, holidays, food etc. Similarly, you may have thought of a certain type of venue for your wedding too. Discuss your personal preferences with your partner, and think of the kind of place you two would really like to get married in. Once you know your likes in terms of venues, selecting wedding destinations in southern France will be way easier.

Facilities

Obviously, you want to have a comfortable experience throughout your wedding. The facilities and services offered in your wedding venue play a big role in making that happen. Make a list of the amenities you and your partner want for a nice, relaxing experience and then look for those in your desired wedding venue. Perhaps, you’d like to have a swimming pool in the venue, so once you know that, you’d look for venues that come with a pool.

Accommodation

If you are planning on having guests who’ll stay over for your wedding, you need to have a venue that offers accommodation too. Plus, it should also have a room for you and your partner to stay in in case you want to spend the night there. If you are okay with a venue that doesn’t have accommodation, you’d need to look for someplace to stay nearby.

Ease of access

Does that venue have easy access to the rest of the regions where your vendors will be coming from? Is the basic infrastructure available there? Is it close to the airport? Focus on these questions before selecting wedding venues in south of France.

Photography

Honestly speaking, it is your wedding photos and the memories you make that stay with you for a lifetime after your wedding celebrations end. So the photographs need to be just magical. Every time you look at them, they should take you on a beautiful trip down your ‘wedding day memory lane.’ When analyzing wedding destinations in south of France, pay attention to the photography element. Does a venue have the kind of spots you’d like to feature in your photographs? Is it as breathtaking as the love you and your partner share? Will you two be able to move around there with ease and have fun?

Spend some time reflecting on these points with your partner over a cup of coffee and some hugs, and then go through my collection of venues for weddings in south of France.

According to popular opinion, Spring, Summer and autumn are the best times to have a wedding in France. But that doesn’t imply a winter wedding will be any less magical. If you are in for an indoor wedding, Christmas is quite the perfect time for an absolutely fairytale-like wedding.

The lovely weather in the south of France in April until October will not disappoint you, and this is the best time to get married there.

Generally, the cooler months are April and May, when the temperature is between 20 and 25 degrees at the beginning. June, July and August are obviously a little hotter and the temperature can reach levels between 30 to 40 degrees. You can anticipate lovely warm temperatures between 25 and 35 degrees from then until the end of October.

If the weather refuses to cooperate, the good news is that these venues have beautiful indoor locations you can move into for your plan B.

Okay, so we have discussed the venues for weddings south of France, discussed the weather, and analyzed the costs, but there is still one important thing left…
