Andrew & Kinsey Wedding

Weddings

There are very few couples who would give us the majority of the creative control of their wedding like Kinsey & Andrew did. From our very first meeting, we could tell Kinsey had a vision, and we couldn’t hear enough about it. This wedding was the impetus of an idea that has sparked so many other ideas for us. Our work is never stagnant, growth and change are always inevitable, and this wedding taught us that.

Since this wedding we have been more involved with many of our brides and grooms, who are enthusiastic about pulling together ideas and inspiration that result in a cohesive collection of photos at the end of the day.  It has been so much fun to interact with our couples in a more intentional way and the photos since (as you can see) have been amazing. We matched the styling with the attire of the couple and the guest, along with the decor and overall mood of the event. The results were warm, elevated and poetic, much like this couple.

Not only was this the first and only wedding we ever shot in Casa Lilia, it couldn’t have been a more perfect location for this intimate micro wedding in the center of Antigua. This exquisite Antigua-style home is the perfect mix of art and luxury, all in one venue. A & K’s guests got to sit on sofas and comfy chairs, in front of a lush green garden with the wall of a ruin as the backdrop.

After a sweet and simple “I Do,” the couple and their guests tuc-tuced their way to the historic San Jose El Viejo, which was dripping in candlelight. The decor, executed perfectly by Bea from Addy Florales, used deep reds and pinks that created a romantic and moody ambience that filled every corner of the room.

The wedding guests enjoyed a delicious meal by Diaca, one of Latin America’s best restaurants, with personalized cocktails by Ulew Bar. This wedding had so many personal and unique touches, like the vinyl-only DJ, the entire tree set in the center of the bar, and the handwritten note to each guest by the couple themselves. This wedding is going to be hard to beat, which is why we are so happy to have it up on our website.

We also shot 3 rolls of film for this wedding and you can see a few of those photos dotted among this collection, as well as in our film portfolio here.
